Dude was a mama's boy
He'd cry when they were apart.
Nothing could get between them

They left town
And got the feeling
It was turtles all the way down
They heard the birds sing
And saw a rainbow clown
They sang their favorite lyrics loud and proud

Was a Nikelback fan
He turned the volume up high
It made him feel strong
Like he really belonged
In a world where real men don't cry
He never got sad
But he often got mad
And started fights at the local Walmart
He didn't understand
His son's favorite band

Grandma was a carpenter
She built houses stores and banks
She chain smoked Camel cigarettes
And hammered nails in planks.
She swore like a sailor
every time she drank
Grandma was an angle
The kind you didn't have to thank.

Every single Sunday
For no particular reason
He just always dressed that way.
He'd try to talk to women
But he ain't got much to say.
Hangin' out in the bars
Never got him too far anyway.

Lady went to Hollywood
She Walked real tall and pride.
She traded her boots for a pair of new fancy shoes
until her paw paw died.
Her city days are done now
Shes going back to where the bluegrass grows.
She's taken off those fancy shoes
And put on Paw paw's grass stained clothes.
